Dana and I had such a hard time nailing down the perfect date for these. You see, all three of her boys play baseball, so their schedules are extra tight! We finally had an opportunity to take them. The weather was great, the sunshine was golden, and it was an easy session.Read More
Sarah and Brandon traveled to Chattanooga from Kentucky to spend some time visiting her family. Even though this was my first time meeting them both, it felt a lot like hanging out with old friends. We laughed and joked and tried to find patches of shade to hide from the harsh sun in! These midday sessions are turning out to be some of my favorites, the colors are so crisp and I am really loving the shadows and contrast!Read More
Gerry reached out to me wanting to schedule a session for him and his daughter Ansley. They were traveling to Chattanooga from Nashville for the weekend and wanted some fun, candid shots to document their vacation. When they first arrived, Ansley was being shy and hiding behind her daddy’s back. She came out of her shell pretty quickly when I started talking about adventure. We started at the Walnut Street Bridge and walked down to the Passageway, we got our feet wet and then made our way back to the Ice Cream Show for a snack to cool down with.Read More
So this little cutie and I spent some time at the carnival. He had a blast checking out the rides and eating popcorn (and throwing it in the air). I love seeing the lights through little eyes.Read More
I LOVE prom sessions! They are always so much fun. Everyone’s already dressed up and looking sharp. And Downtown Chattanooga on the South Side is bustling and colorful.Read More
This was my first time meeting Haley and Hunter. Two young people totally in love, that’s literally one of my most favorite things to photograph. They were a breeze and you can just tell they have so much fun together. It was a warm day in February in Downtown South Pittsburg, I love the colors on Main Street as a backdrop.Read More
Limited Edition Sessions are short sessions that include a smaller amount of pictures. I started offering them this year to clients who may not need a full session, or only need a handful of images. Nicole has mentioned a few times about wanting to come to me for pictures, and I am so glad she finally did! This was a really easy session.Read More
Lyndi has been with me for years now. I have been there for pregnancy announcements, her wedding, birthdays and milestones. Watching her grow as well as her children, those connections are one of my most favorite parts of my job. So when she asked me if I could come to their home, to capture them in their environment, I jumped at it. She needed new branding images for her website and blog, Blessed & Obsessed and new portraits of the family and kids. Portraits don’t need to be posed and perfection. Sometimes you just need to capture the every day.Read More
I just love Ann! She has been bringing her grandchildren to me for about a year now. And this year she came to see me with her husband Randy and her son Kevin and ALL their dogs! They were so much fun and this session was a breeze. OH and PS: Ann made this awesome Vinyl sign!Read More
Let me tell ya’ll all about the Jordan family. Hands down the NICEST and sweetest family you’ll ever know. Seriously, they’re funny and full of energy and just so awesome to spend time with. Of course Tim is totally outnumbered with all this female energy but I truly think he loves it.
Fun Fact: I’ve taken 2 out of the 3 girls’ Senior Portraits (Hannah, we can do some and just pretend right?) So I was extra excited to get the whole family in front of my lens.Read More
So Lauren started coming to see me this year. She came this time with her mother Angie, her boyfriend Tim and their two boys Landon and Braylen. FIRST I feel compelled to be honest and let you know that Landon wanted ZERO (nothing, nada) to do with me. He just didn’t realize how fast I am!
But other than that little bump the entire rest of the session was a breeze. Who knows, maybe next time Landon will like me? Braylen, tell him how cool I am. Thanks!Read More
Jordan was out of town for this Limited Edition Session. So it was Mandy, Xavier and baby Max for this one. It’s CRAZY to me how fast these two kids are growing! I’ve been photographing them for a few years now and this little family is so special to me.
PS: Can we just take a minute to really appreciate how GLORIOUS the colors are here? I mean WOW!Read More
I will always and forever have a soft spot for single mothers. That strong connection is something so special.
Sometimes kids need a few minutes to open up. Especially because I want to capture who they really are. For this age range I usually just ask a series of questions with each one being more nonsensical than the last. Somewhere along the way I'll get those real smiles!Read More
Tena and Hayden have been with me since basically the very beginning. I love my loyal clients and always get so excited to see them and hear what’s new and if anything has changed. Of course Hayden is a foot taller than me now, crazy! They brought Mike, Morgan and Blaire with them too! Such a beautiful session at sunset under the fall leaves.Read More
Amber and Flint came back and brought their sweet children to see me again this Fall. In between our last session and this one, they tied the knot, they grew closer as a family and once again, our session was a breeze!Read More
So one of my goals for 2019 is to shoot a LOT more in-home lifestyle sessions. I no longer shoot posed newborn sessions, but I am IN LOVE with shooting babies in their own homes, in the arms of their parents. Heather and Michael invited me in to capture what it was like during Maddox’s first few weeks at home. He was a complete dream, he slept the entire time and barely made a peep. The Wehunt home is stunning with such a clean, farmhouse vibe. And holy cow, how cute and sweet is Jeter?!Read More
Having a blended family of my own, I can totally understand the challenges that come with the change of dynamics. Sometimes, as a photographer, you just have to be aware of that and work with it. The Cobb Family may be newer, but they were all five so sweet and easy to work with. Please meet Brandon and Callie and their children, Eli, Clayton and Nora.Read More
