Let me start with the first time I met Sierra. She came to me as a single mother of two boys for a family session. The next session we had was a family session last year after she literally met the love of her life, Alex who came with a boy and girl of his own. Our next time shooting was at their elopement at Greenway Farms when they combined their big blended family - it was literal magic. Two people in love with four small children. This time, when Sierra reached out to me, she had a big secret. Scroll on to see what it was. And the kids reaction to the news!
Read MoreWe shot this session on May 29th, which in any other reality would be relatively warm, but we had a major cold front come through. It was windy and chilly. In between each shot we had to cover the kids back up. Despite the goosebumps, I think we got some really great images and it was a really fun session. I’ve known Sylvia for SO long, and seeing her with her children was so special.
Read MoreThroughout the years I have shot prom pictures in a lot of different locations. Walnut Street Bridge is always the most requested but with a late prom this year, I already knew it would be JAM packed. So we opted for a rooftop in the West Village and I have to say, this is one of my most favorite prom years, to date!
Read MoreI had the pleasure of working with the Potoski Family last weekend, and let me tell you, this was one of the easiest sessions I have ever done. The kids were so well behaved and just complete sweethearts. We had an absolutely perfect sunset with tons of golden light.
Read MoreLet’s start with how much I love the Bucher Family. I have been taking pictures of them from the very beginning. Now they have three of the most adorable kids you’ve ever seen. Kids go completely crazy over bubbles, they are literally the MOST FUN sessions.
Read MoreErica warned me beforehand that Adam hates having his picture made. BUT I think he even had a little fun! We shot at the Jasper Highlands. They are both so excited to be parents and I cannot even believe how beautiful Erica is. Just absolutely glowing.
Read MoreI met with Melisa and Chris at the Jasper Highlands. Let me tell you this entire session was so easy. There’s a comfort between the two of them that is so transparent. It’s so completely obvious that these two will stand the test of time. I was super excited that they brought their sweet pups too!
Read MoreJohn is literally one of my absolute sweetest clients. He always bring a smile to everyone’s face and to know him is to love him. I was so excited to shoot in Mrs. Kelly’s daffodil field again. She planted each of these by hand and it’s always the first sign of Spring for me!
Read MoreMarion County’s very own Johnny and June celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year. They asked me to take their family portraits in August at the Wren’s Nest in Monteagle, TN. They brought together their entire family, Lindsay, Brent, Asher and Beckett; Lauren, Joe and Will. This session was a complete and total breeze.
Read MoreI don’t even know where to begin telling you about Jackie. I have known her for most of my life. She’s my yoga instructor. She’s my friend and someone I look up to in so many ways. She’s beautiful and strong and her soul is made of gold. When she asked me to come to Southern Soul (where she teaches on Saturday mornings) for a sunrise session to use for her marketing, I immediately said yes. And let me be honest, there are very few people I would wake up that early for!
Read MoreLet’s be real here, senior guys do not want their pictures taken. They do it because their moms want it. Jayden was no different. But after just a few minutes he really opened up and his entire session was so easy.
Read MoreI have been taking the Lehr Family pictures since Gavin was just a tiny little baby. We’ve celebrated birthdays and holidays and a new baby brother, Tripp. Plus I have known Sherie since we were little kids. This year we shot in Sewanee and I just love the checkered Tennessee overalls on the boys!
Read MorePeggy and I had already planned her family session, talked about details, clothes, ideas. Then randomly Peggy facetimed me with a big, secret surprise. She needed to announce she was pregnant! Such a sweet family and unique way to tell all her friends!
Read MoreI’ve known Emilee for a long time now. I shot her youngest son’s newborn session, she has modeled for me, then I shot their vow renewal last year. So when she contacted me about documenting her and her best friend’s graduation from college at Dalton State, of course I said yes! This session was way easy, except for the mosquitoes that nearly carried us away! Both of these women are so amazing. They worked SO hard, raising kids and going to school at the same time.
Read MoreOne day in April Katie contacted me to schedule a family session for her entire extended family. She and her husband and daughter, her sister, and two nephews, and her brother were coming in from Colorado and Wyoming. She wanted all of their pictures made with their mother, Pam and their grandmother. Let me tell you, this was a wonderful experience for me. A truly warm and loving family and I am grateful to have met them all! And Katie posted an awesome review that I am going to share below:
Read MoreIt’s always so weird to take senior portraits when it’s a child you’ve known for a long time! Hannah has become such a beautiful young woman. She’s kind and sweet and funny too. We took the first half of her senior portraits at Richard Hardy High School, and the second half we took on Main Street in Downtown South Pittsburg.
Read MoreI LOVE prom sessions! They are always so much fun. Everyone’s already dressed up and looking sharp. And Downtown Chattanooga on the South Side is bustling and colorful.
Read MoreHaley reached out to me wanting to schedule a family session for Spring. Her, Terence, Jake and Zeke came to see me on a cold day in March, but from their smiles, you’d never know how cold it was.
Read MoreCrystal brings her boys to see me a few times a year, and every time I try and talk her into having family portraits made. I tell her it’s her turn to step in front of the camera. FINALLY she booked me for a family session. Her and Josh and the boys, Will and Coleman. And we did back to back sessions, their family, then her two boys and her nephews.
Read MoreI had never met Brynna and Dennis before our session. So I was very excited to meet them and their children. As we started shooting my (very) expensive 70-200 lens DIED. I was confused and I have to be honest, it threw me for a minute. I panicked. I don’t know why, maybe just because I’m a panicky person. BUT I recovered pretty quickly, I threw on my 35mm and settled back into my session. Brynna and her family are SO much fun. They’re warm and welcoming. It was really easy to capture the dynamics of their family.
