Sarah reached out to me about a session for her and her family. Let me just tell you, this was a wonderful family to meet and get to know. They were all four so sweet and fun to spend time with. We started at their home, which was amazing, they have incredible views. We then moved to private property that belongs to a family friend. Last we made a quick stop at the Primitive Church.

Hoback Family Summer 2019 Session in Jasper, TN on Courthouse Square

Dana and I had such a hard time nailing down the perfect date for these. You see, all three of her boys play baseball, so their schedules are extra tight! We finally had an opportunity to take them. The weather was great, the sunshine was golden, and it was an easy session.

Gerry and Ansley Downtown Chattanooga Summer 2019 Session

Gerry reached out to me wanting to schedule a session for him and his daughter Ansley. They were traveling to Chattanooga from Nashville for the weekend and wanted some fun, candid shots to document their vacation. When they first arrived, Ansley was being shy and hiding behind her daddy’s back. She came out of her shell pretty quickly when I started talking about adventure. We started at the Walnut Street Bridge and walked down to the Passageway, we got our feet wet and then made our way back to the Ice Cream Show for a snack to cool down with.

Perry Family Session at Sewanee, TN in March

When we were very little Cameron and I used to go to church together at Jasper First Baptist. Now, as an adult, Cameron is married to Michael and together they have a son named Camdan. Cameron wanted their session at her alma mater, The University of the South at Sewanee, TN. This session was easy and so much fun. Early Spring is beautiful in Sewanee, if you’ve not been, you should go. The buttercups bloom and the entire campus comes alive.

Wrapping up 2018 and Ushering in 2019

This is what my year has been like. Extra busy and SO blessed. 163 sessions, plus four weddings, one promo video for a preschool and 10 Senior Rep Modeling sessions! I also shot the entire Kimball Soccer League in both the Spring and the Fall AND I taught two separate photography classes!! I was published twice and asked to speak on a panel in front of Girl Scouts. Here's a small sampling of some of my favorite images from this year, there's at least one from each session!! Can you spot yourself?

I don't even know where to start with expressing my gratitude. Clients, please just know that I love you all so much, and thank you, from the bottom of my heart for letting me wake up every day and live my dream!

Meek Family Christmas Session at the Chattanooga Choo Choo

Jessica contacted me after finding my website. She needed updated family portraits of her, her husband Evan and their two daughters Lola and Lucy. I had just recently been given permission to shoot at the Chattanooga Choo Choo. With it being so close to Christmas, I knew this would be the perfect location for our shoot. It was absolutely stunning. I am leaning heavily towards less posed portraits and really loving the feel of these intimate, documentary style images. Jessica’s family is so sweet, and I just loved working with them.

Bennett Family Fall Session 2018

Shannon came to see me with her mom and dad, and her grandmother. Such a fun and easy going family. She told me beforehand that not a single one of them was a fan of having their pictures made. In spite of that, they were all very loose and laid back in front of my camera. And these were some of my favorites from Fall.

Lawrence Family Fall Session

I love this sweet little family. This is my third year shooting their Fall Portraits. So I’ve gotten to grow right along with Walker. The very first thing I learned about him three years ago is that he will let me take amazing images of him, but on his terms, and I have to follow his lead. Which is fine by me, most kids his age are the same way. I have loved getting to know his parents too. Marc and Leigh are such genuinely kind people. Here are a few of my favorites from their session.

Lauren Pelham Fall 2018 Limited Edition Session

So Lauren started coming to see me this year. She came this time with her mother Angie, her boyfriend Tim and their two boys Landon and Braylen. FIRST I feel compelled to be honest and let you know that Landon wanted ZERO (nothing, nada) to do with me. He just didn’t realize how fast I am!

But other than that little bump the entire rest of the session was a breeze. Who knows, maybe next time Landon will like me? Braylen, tell him how cool I am. Thanks!
