Aker Family Session May 2021 Jasper Highlands

We shot this session on May 29th, which in any other reality would be relatively warm, but we had a major cold front come through. It was windy and chilly. In between each shot we had to cover the kids back up. Despite the goosebumps, I think we got some really great images and it was a really fun session. I’ve known Sylvia for SO long, and seeing her with her children was so special.

John and Kaylei Junior High Dance May 2021

I have known John and his mama for a very long time. I always love being able to photograph them in any context. But in particular, when John is all dressed up for dances. This year I was able to capture him and his sweet girlfriend Kaylei too!

Marion County High School Prom 2021 West Village Chattanooga

Throughout the years I have shot prom pictures in a lot of different locations. Walnut Street Bridge is always the most requested but with a late prom this year, I already knew it would be JAM packed. So we opted for a rooftop in the West Village and I have to say, this is one of my most favorite prom years, to date!

Morrow Family Spring 2021 - Jasper, TN

Debbi and I have been friends since high school. Not to give away our ages, but that’s a VERY long time. And she has always supported my business. We make sure to get new sessions as soon as possible, because her kids are just growing so fast. We shot these early in the morning at Little Cedar Mountain Trail. I think adventuring really helps to loosen kids up and we can really capture those perfect candid moments.

Trey and Nicole - South Pittsburg High School Prom 2021

Prom season is here!! My first set of prom kids was Trey and Nicole. The funny thing is, Trey and his family are my oldest clients. The very first “client” I ever had was Trey’s younger brother, I shot his newborn pictures. I have taken the kids pictures, their mom and dad, their grandparents, their aunt and her daughter so many times over the years. It’s so hard for me to believe that Trey is 18 now. Such a sweet boy and he’s grown up so incredibly fast. They headed from here to South Pittsburg High School’s 2021 Prom.

John Spring Session - Daffodil Fields - March 2021

John is literally one of my absolute sweetest clients. He always bring a smile to everyone’s face and to know him is to love him. I was so excited to shoot in Mrs. Kelly’s daffodil field again. She planted each of these by hand and it’s always the first sign of Spring for me!

Kirby Family Session March 2021

Kirby, Tristan, Ryan, Blaine, Sam and Treyton

I was so fortunate to shoot Kirby and Tristan’s wedding session on and around the Walnut Street Bridge so it only made sense to take the whole family there for their session! The perfect day, the most coordinated outfits, a beautiful couple and four of the sweetest boys made this entire session so easy. We got all of these and more in less than 20 minutes!

Sessions never need to be stressful, you just have to find a photographer who works FOR you and your family.

Shooting at Ugly Locations | Jasper, TN Laundromat

I have had it in my head for a while to start doing sessions at places I wouldn’t normally shoot. I get asked so often where I find my locations. Or “how do you find these magical locations?!” Honestly most of them aren’t that magical. They are usually on the side of the road; or in a parking lot; or somewhere totally “unmagical”. But for this series I really wanted to illustrate that even an UGLY spot, such as the local laundromat, could really be awesome. The laundromat was dirty, full of people and distractions. Check out some of the fun we had, plus some iPhone shots of what the spot really looked like. When choosing your photographer, find one that knows how to work the angles and focus on the client.
