I don’t even know where to start. From the moment these two amazing people walked up to me, I felt like I had known them forever. We had so much fun exploring downtown and their love really shines through in their entire gallery. They came from New Orleans to have their pictures made and I really loved getting to know them better.
Read MoreThis may be one of the single most frequently asked questions I get. As you grow with photography, you may find yourself wanting to level up. I’ll make a new blog post about that soon. If you are brand new to photography, want a nice camera to take pictures of your kids or adventures, these are all excellent bodies to choose from. I have also included links to prime (fixed focal length; sharper) and telephoto (zoom) lenses for each model.
Read MoreLet me start with the first time I met Sierra. She came to me as a single mother of two boys for a family session. The next session we had was a family session last year after she literally met the love of her life, Alex who came with a boy and girl of his own. Our next time shooting was at their elopement at Greenway Farms when they combined their big blended family - it was literal magic. Two people in love with four small children. This time, when Sierra reached out to me, she had a big secret. Scroll on to see what it was. And the kids reaction to the news!
Read MoreRather than write you a really long intro about Kimberly and Ryan, I want to share what she told me on her questionnaire when I asked her ‘What do you want to remember about this season of life?’ She did give me permission to share this and I think it’s just about the most precious answer ever. After spending a little time with them (they drove from Wisconsin for this session!) it was very clear to me that she didn’t exaggerate a single word.
Read MoreAnother year, another Blessed Session. I absolutely love doing these. They are confidence boosters for the girls, I get to work with my best friend Lyndi and they are absolutely just a blast. I admire what Lyndi has built and I believe in her vision. Every time she asks me to do one I immediately whip out my calendar and get it scheduled.
Read MoreShooting for another photographer can always be a little nerve wracking, but Lexie is so sweet it was honestly a breeze. I am always so in my element with events. I shoot a lot of them, birthday parties, anniversaries, baby showers, they are a specialty of mine. This was no different, her family and friends were all so warm and welcoming. I’m not going to share all 169 images, but I think this gallery will give you a great idea of how the day went.
Read MoreWe shot this session on May 29th, which in any other reality would be relatively warm, but we had a major cold front come through. It was windy and chilly. In between each shot we had to cover the kids back up. Despite the goosebumps, I think we got some really great images and it was a really fun session. I’ve known Sylvia for SO long, and seeing her with her children was so special.
Read MoreStacy & Nick came to see me all the way from Mississippi. They both had quiet, gentle souls and were so kind. Sometimes with couples you can just feel their love. These two had a full aura of love surrounding them.
Read MoreIvey came to see me with both her sweet girls. When they arrived in matching dresses I almost fell apart. She’s such a great mom, and you can just feel their love through this set of images.
Read MoreI have known John and his mama for a very long time. I always love being able to photograph them in any context. But in particular, when John is all dressed up for dances. This year I was able to capture him and his sweet girlfriend Kaylei too!
Read MoreThroughout the years I have shot prom pictures in a lot of different locations. Walnut Street Bridge is always the most requested but with a late prom this year, I already knew it would be JAM packed. So we opted for a rooftop in the West Village and I have to say, this is one of my most favorite prom years, to date!
Read MoreAntoinette and Dee traveled to see me from Alabama! Let me tell you, this session was SO easy. Two people in love make a session a breeze. I really didn’t have to offer a lot of suggestions because they couldn’t let go of each other. I LOVE love.
Read MoreClint, Sara, Max and Duckie came to see me all the way from Indiana! They were just the sweetest little family. We hit some of the usual spots, took Max to cool off at the Passageway next to the Aquarium and Duckie (who’s a certified rescue dog!) even got to meet one of Chattanooga’s finest!
Read MoreJoseph came in to Chattanooga from Nashville for a short getaway from work. We meandered around Downtown and found some great spots. I think he was a complete natural in front of the camera!
Read MoreDebbi and I have been friends since high school. Not to give away our ages, but that’s a VERY long time. And she has always supported my business. We make sure to get new sessions as soon as possible, because her kids are just growing so fast. We shot these early in the morning at Little Cedar Mountain Trail. I think adventuring really helps to loosen kids up and we can really capture those perfect candid moments.
Read MoreHands down one of my favorite families. They are just the sweetest. Jessica, Evan, Lola and Lucy will be welcoming a new baby very soon and we needed to document this time - and her PERFECT bump! We shot these on the North Shore at Renaissance Park.
Read MoreI had the pleasure of working with the Potoski Family last weekend, and let me tell you, this was one of the easiest sessions I have ever done. The kids were so well behaved and just complete sweethearts. We had an absolutely perfect sunset with tons of golden light.
