Stacy & Nick came to see me all the way from Mississippi. They both had quiet, gentle souls and were so kind. Sometimes with couples you can just feel their love. These two had a full aura of love surrounding them.
Read MoreAs most of you already know, October is an insanely busy time for photographers. You will most likely find me chained to my laptop on never-ending editing sprees with Netflix binging in the background. But, as most of you also know, I am on a health journey, so some of these will be from that. Read on to find out what I am obsessed with this week, what I can’t put down and what I can’t stop thinking about!!
Read MoreSarah reached out to me about a session for her and her family. Let me just tell you, this was a wonderful family to meet and get to know. They were all four so sweet and fun to spend time with. We started at their home, which was amazing, they have incredible views. We then moved to private property that belongs to a family friend. Last we made a quick stop at the Primitive Church.
Read MoreSophia is my little baby cousin. Right now she’s living in Washington DC but she came in for a visit and a fun little Summer Session with me. Sophia is literally a ray of sunshine. Her energy is contagious. She was SO EXCITED about everything that she saw, it really made me stop and look at this city with new eyes. We started at the Walnut Street Bridge and made a loop. We walked from the bridge to the Tennessee Riverwalk, to the waterways around the aquarium, we pet a horse that pulls the carriages on Broad Street, and we made our way back to The Ice Cream Show.
Read MoreI LOVE prom sessions! They are always so much fun. Everyone’s already dressed up and looking sharp. And Downtown Chattanooga on the South Side is bustling and colorful.
Read MoreSherrie and John asked to have their engagement portraits taken in Sewanee, TN. I love shooting at the University of the South. It’s romantic and whimsical and really feels like you’re at a castle. And these two are perfectly in love.
Read MoreFull disclosure here: Cari Beth is my doctor, and I LOVE HER. I am so grateful to have found not only an amazing physician - but someone who has experienced a lot of the same things I have in life. So when she started mentioning to me that she’d like me to take pictures of her and Ben, uh- please?! She mentioned in passing that she doesn’t like having her picture taken. But afterwards told me she loves these. And I’m pretty sure that’s the best compliment a photographer can get.
Read MoreJordan was out of town for this Limited Edition Session. So it was Mandy, Xavier and baby Max for this one. It’s CRAZY to me how fast these two kids are growing! I’ve been photographing them for a few years now and this little family is so special to me.
PS: Can we just take a minute to really appreciate how GLORIOUS the colors are here? I mean WOW!
Read MoreI’m going to start this blog post by letting you know, I LOVE Lilli! I am so glad I chose her as one of my Senior Rep Models. She’s a 2019 Senior at Richard Hardy Memorial School in South Pittsburg, TN. She’s so well rounded, so down to earth and so, so laid back. Her session was one of the easiest I’ve ever shot. I asked her to mess up her hair and she did. I asked her spin around and walk towards me at least 90343 times and she did, with a badly sprained ankle from volleyball! She’s a great student, a wonderful daughter, a quirky girl and so much fun to be around. I had a really hard time narrowing these down!!
Read MoreFall Mini Sessions are always one of my favorite events of the year. I get to see some of my favorite families and meet several new families too. The Coffelt Family came to me for the very first time this year and I was thrilled to work with them. Tia, Chris and Emma were so much fun! They came in their best Fall clothes and lo and behold it was 94 degrees on that fine October day. BUT they toughed it out and we made some magic in that quick ten minutes!
Read MoreIn case you weren’t aware, that beautiful little girl is my bonus daughter Shelby. I have been lucky enough to be able to take her family’s pictures twice now. Her mother Amy had a vision for this shoot and I think it all came together perfectly.
Read MoreSavanna’s mother Tina contacted me one day to book a session for her daughter Savanna. She told me that Savanna was showing interest in modeling and wanted to see if she liked being in front of the camera. First and foremost, Savanna is BEAUTIFUL! Secondly, she’s a total natural. I think she will make an incredible model, I know that she did for me.
Read MoreThere’s something special about small weddings. There’s something even more special about two people who find what they’ve been looking for all along in each other. Denise and Michael’s September 15th wedding in South Pittsburg, TN was so perfect. They blended together their two families with kindness, laughter and a whole lot of love. They were married in Mt. Bethlehem Church surrounded by friends and family, with a reception at the American Legion Hall.
Read MoreAshley is the smilingest (not a word, I checked, but it describes her the best!) Senior Rep I’ve ever shot. She had a natural ease in front of the camera. And she didn’t even flinch when I asked her to sit in the middle of the road! (Don’t worry, we had a spotter!)
