Another year, another Blessed Session. I absolutely love doing these. They are confidence boosters for the girls, I get to work with my best friend Lyndi and they are absolutely just a blast. I admire what Lyndi has built and I believe in her vision. Every time she asks me to do one I immediately whip out my calendar and get it scheduled.
Read MoreWe shot this session on May 29th, which in any other reality would be relatively warm, but we had a major cold front come through. It was windy and chilly. In between each shot we had to cover the kids back up. Despite the goosebumps, I think we got some really great images and it was a really fun session. I’ve known Sylvia for SO long, and seeing her with her children was so special.
Read MoreIvey came to see me with both her sweet girls. When they arrived in matching dresses I almost fell apart. She’s such a great mom, and you can just feel their love through this set of images.
Read MoreI have known John and his mama for a very long time. I always love being able to photograph them in any context. But in particular, when John is all dressed up for dances. This year I was able to capture him and his sweet girlfriend Kaylei too!
Read MoreThroughout the years I have shot prom pictures in a lot of different locations. Walnut Street Bridge is always the most requested but with a late prom this year, I already knew it would be JAM packed. So we opted for a rooftop in the West Village and I have to say, this is one of my most favorite prom years, to date!
Read MoreDebbi and I have been friends since high school. Not to give away our ages, but that’s a VERY long time. And she has always supported my business. We make sure to get new sessions as soon as possible, because her kids are just growing so fast. We shot these early in the morning at Little Cedar Mountain Trail. I think adventuring really helps to loosen kids up and we can really capture those perfect candid moments.
Read MoreHands down one of my favorite families. They are just the sweetest. Jessica, Evan, Lola and Lucy will be welcoming a new baby very soon and we needed to document this time - and her PERFECT bump! We shot these on the North Shore at Renaissance Park.
Read MoreI had the pleasure of working with the Potoski Family last weekend, and let me tell you, this was one of the easiest sessions I have ever done. The kids were so well behaved and just complete sweethearts. We had an absolutely perfect sunset with tons of golden light.
Read MoreLet’s start with how much I love the Bucher Family. I have been taking pictures of them from the very beginning. Now they have three of the most adorable kids you’ve ever seen. Kids go completely crazy over bubbles, they are literally the MOST FUN sessions.
Read MoreIt’s always amazing to photograph a friend, even more so when that friend is in one of the biggest seasons of her life. Peggy will be welcoming her fourth child, Reece SO SOON. Peggy was actually placed on bed rest prior to this, so this was actually one of the quickest maternity sessions I have ever shot. We took these in Downtown Chattanooga in the West Village. Peggy showed up completely glowing and ready to go!
Read MoreSophia is my little cousin, but we don’t get to see each other very often. When she does come in for visits we always get to do a little session. She’s one of my most favorite tiny best friends and she always brings a sparkle for all of her sessions. It’s not just a sparkle, it’s a spark. A spark of imagination and of wonder, seeing the world through her eyes is such a wondrous experience.
Read MorePeggy and I had already planned her family session, talked about details, clothes, ideas. Then randomly Peggy facetimed me with a big, secret surprise. She needed to announce she was pregnant! Such a sweet family and unique way to tell all her friends!
Read MoreI have had it in my head for a while to start doing sessions at places I wouldn’t normally shoot. I get asked so often where I find my locations. Or “how do you find these magical locations?!” Honestly most of them aren’t that magical. They are usually on the side of the road; or in a parking lot; or somewhere totally “unmagical”. But for this series I really wanted to illustrate that even an UGLY spot, such as the local laundromat, could really be awesome. The laundromat was dirty, full of people and distractions. Check out some of the fun we had, plus some iPhone shots of what the spot really looked like. When choosing your photographer, find one that knows how to work the angles and focus on the client.
Read MoreSophia is my little baby cousin. Right now she’s living in Washington DC but she came in for a visit and a fun little Summer Session with me. Sophia is literally a ray of sunshine. Her energy is contagious. She was SO EXCITED about everything that she saw, it really made me stop and look at this city with new eyes. We started at the Walnut Street Bridge and made a loop. We walked from the bridge to the Tennessee Riverwalk, to the waterways around the aquarium, we pet a horse that pulls the carriages on Broad Street, and we made our way back to The Ice Cream Show.
Read MoreStacy contacted me after finding my website. She wanted pictures of her three children and herself. Stacy met me with Bailey, Ayden and Mazie in June. We spent part of the session in a big open field, but then we quickly realized we were losing the kids attention, so we took them over to the playground. Seriously, it couldn’t have been a better idea. They played and laughed and we got the best smiles!
Read MoreI am so, so proud that Twila came to me for her engagement pictures. She and Dru needed engagement photos and they needed them quickly. They had one day available before they leave to go get married. We had a whirlwind of a day considering we started with a 90% chance of rain, which slowly diminished as the day went on. Eventually we were still able to shoot, and even caught a few in the rain.
Read MoreGerry reached out to me wanting to schedule a session for him and his daughter Ansley. They were traveling to Chattanooga from Nashville for the weekend and wanted some fun, candid shots to document their vacation. When they first arrived, Ansley was being shy and hiding behind her daddy’s back. She came out of her shell pretty quickly when I started talking about adventure. We started at the Walnut Street Bridge and walked down to the Passageway, we got our feet wet and then made our way back to the Ice Cream Show for a snack to cool down with.
Read MoreBack in Fall of 2018 I took pictures of the Carter family. This year I got to take pictures of Reagan for her Sweet 16. She is SUCH a sweet girl, this session was a breeze. We meandered around Downtown Chattanooga on Market Street near the Chattanooga Choo Choo and the alley behind some shops. Southside in Downtown is always so much fun.
Read MoreJessica and Aaron and their two sweet babies Brantley and Addison wanted a carnival session. We had one scheduled for the National Cornbread Festival and poor Brantley was diagnosed with the FLU a day before!! Fortunately, there was another carnival coming close by to Valley Fest in Dunlap, TN. We were able to reschedule. Brantley had a blast riding rides! Addison wasn’t too happy because there was only one ride they would let her on, but towards the end we got her some cotton candy and she was in heaven!
Read MoreDebbi and I have been friends since high school. And ever since she started her family I have been capturing their milestones. I cannot believe how big her children have gotten this year. Darien is so tall, Ronan is less of a baby and more of a child, and just look at how big Felicity is. They are the sweetest and I love when I get to catch up with them!
