It’s always amazing to photograph a friend, even more so when that friend is in one of the biggest seasons of her life. Peggy will be welcoming her fourth child, Reece SO SOON. Peggy was actually placed on bed rest prior to this, so this was actually one of the quickest maternity sessions I have ever shot. We took these in Downtown Chattanooga in the West Village. Peggy showed up completely glowing and ready to go!
Read MoreI have been taking the Lehr Family pictures since Gavin was just a tiny little baby. We’ve celebrated birthdays and holidays and a new baby brother, Tripp. Plus I have known Sherie since we were little kids. This year we shot in Sewanee and I just love the checkered Tennessee overalls on the boys!
Read MoreSophia is my little baby cousin. Right now she’s living in Washington DC but she came in for a visit and a fun little Summer Session with me. Sophia is literally a ray of sunshine. Her energy is contagious. She was SO EXCITED about everything that she saw, it really made me stop and look at this city with new eyes. We started at the Walnut Street Bridge and made a loop. We walked from the bridge to the Tennessee Riverwalk, to the waterways around the aquarium, we pet a horse that pulls the carriages on Broad Street, and we made our way back to The Ice Cream Show.
Read MoreSarah and Brandon traveled to Chattanooga from Kentucky to spend some time visiting her family. Even though this was my first time meeting them both, it felt a lot like hanging out with old friends. We laughed and joked and tried to find patches of shade to hide from the harsh sun in! These midday sessions are turning out to be some of my favorites, the colors are so crisp and I am really loving the shadows and contrast!
Read MoreI’ve known Emilee for a long time now. I shot her youngest son’s newborn session, she has modeled for me, then I shot their vow renewal last year. So when she contacted me about documenting her and her best friend’s graduation from college at Dalton State, of course I said yes! This session was way easy, except for the mosquitoes that nearly carried us away! Both of these women are so amazing. They worked SO hard, raising kids and going to school at the same time.
Read MoreAnnabelle was a really fun girl to get to know. She was nervous and a little shy at first. It took her a little bit, but I just kept asking questions and then her real personality came out. Such a sweet girl, so beautiful and literally just delightful to meet.
Read MoreTena and Hayden have been with me since basically the very beginning. I love my loyal clients and always get so excited to see them and hear what’s new and if anything has changed. Of course Hayden is a foot taller than me now, crazy! They brought Mike, Morgan and Blaire with them too! Such a beautiful session at sunset under the fall leaves.
Read MoreSo Misti wrote me, asking about doing an extended family session. Clients always seem a little hesitant like I might get scared off at the thought of having more than 5-6 people in front of my lens. Let me tell you though, I. LOVE. It! The more, the merrier.
And this group was no exception. We all had so much fun early in the day. It’s kind of tricky getting everyone’s schedules together so we shot around 1pm. The sun was high but it was a little breezy and balmy. The perfect afternoon for a session.
Read MoreFall Minis are the best, and even more fun when it's someone you've known basically your entire life. So happy for Derrick that he's found Tori. I loved meeting her and these precious boys!! Maddox and Luke were awesome for the session.
Read MoreHaving a blended family of my own, I can totally understand the challenges that come with the change of dynamics. Sometimes, as a photographer, you just have to be aware of that and work with it. The Cobb Family may be newer, but they were all five so sweet and easy to work with. Please meet Brandon and Callie and their children, Eli, Clayton and Nora.
Read MoreHands down one of my most favorite families to shoot. They are all five so full of energy and optimism. If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting them, you’ll know I am right. The heat plus the mosquitoes (literally the size of your face) made the shoot a challenge but we still managed to get an awesome gallery together.
Read MoreFall Mini Sessions are always one of my favorite events of the year. I get to see some of my favorite families and meet several new families too. The Coffelt Family came to me for the very first time this year and I was thrilled to work with them. Tia, Chris and Emma were so much fun! They came in their best Fall clothes and lo and behold it was 94 degrees on that fine October day. BUT they toughed it out and we made some magic in that quick ten minutes!
Read MoreThey were married in her mother’s front yard, surrounded by large trees, paper lanterns, and their closest family and friends. Their son’s walked Emilee down the aisle. One of Kevin’s groomsmen served as the officiant. The bridesmaids wore simple but beautiful dresses. The planning came together in a beautiful and tasteful way, and the love between them was apparent to everyone who attended.
