This is my third time shooting Cheryl’s sweet grandkids. This year she asked if we could do a campfire session. She and Kevin joined Weston and Hanson for a fun shoot this summer. It was SO hot but from the looks on the boys’ faces, you could never tell. We had a lot of fun and laughed a lot too!Read More
Sarah reached out to me about a session for her and her family. Let me just tell you, this was a wonderful family to meet and get to know. They were all four so sweet and fun to spend time with. We started at their home, which was amazing, they have incredible views. We then moved to private property that belongs to a family friend. Last we made a quick stop at the Primitive Church.Read More
Photographing blended families can sometimes be stressful. Sometimes you will feel more like a therapist than a photographer. It can be tricky to navigate the waters of family dynamics, particularly if there’s tension between the children and a step-parent. More often than not, you’ll need a few tactics to help you through it. Today I want to offer you five simple tried and true techniques for your next blended family session.Read More
Stacy contacted me after finding my website. She wanted pictures of her three children and herself. Stacy met me with Bailey, Ayden and Mazie in June. We spent part of the session in a big open field, but then we quickly realized we were losing the kids attention, so we took them over to the playground. Seriously, it couldn’t have been a better idea. They played and laughed and we got the best smiles!Read More
Max turned one right at the beginning of January! I have known Mandy, Max’s mom, since I was a little girl and I’ve been photographing their family for so long I felt right at home. It was SO HARD to narrow down a preview from all of the images. These are a few of my favorites though.
If you are having a birthday party and want to really be present (and not stuck behind a cell phone or camera) the whole time, then I highly recommend hiring a photographer for your child’s day.Read More
Kat initially signed up for a Watermelon Limited Edition Session WAY back in the summer. But it rained us out, and we kept trying and trying to reschedule, FINALLY we were able to get a Christmas session scheduled and man I am grateful it worked out this way. The pretty lights on the square and these sweet kids made for the perfect session!Read More
I have photographed Anna and Luke at least 934378434 times. And it’s no secret that I LOVE THEM. The Shankles family is so much fun. Rachel asked if we could do a session in her home this time, very lifestyle, and include her sister in law and nephew and nieces. I am pretty sure my response was “OF COURSE WE CAN”. So we lit a fire, took pictures of the kids in jammies and then took a few of Jesi’s kids outside. I fell equally in love with them!! We celebrated Jesi expecting her fifth child. A big congratulations to the Hoschar family!Read More
See that little boy in the red/gray sweatshirt? His name is Ty and he was my very first newborn I ever took pictures of, a little over SIX years ago! His grandmother, Billie has been bringing her family (all of them) to see me for sessions for longer than anyone else. I have photographed all of her kids, all of her grandkids, her and and her husband and I love this family so much!Read More
Ok so first of all, this family is adorable. All of them. I love them and they’re sweethearts. Now let’s talk about the fact that it was raining. And it was cold. No worries, the Ramsey’s are down for whatever and we still had a blast.Read More
So Lauren started coming to see me this year. She came this time with her mother Angie, her boyfriend Tim and their two boys Landon and Braylen. FIRST I feel compelled to be honest and let you know that Landon wanted ZERO (nothing, nada) to do with me. He just didn’t realize how fast I am!
But other than that little bump the entire rest of the session was a breeze. Who knows, maybe next time Landon will like me? Braylen, tell him how cool I am. Thanks!Read More
So Misti wrote me, asking about doing an extended family session. Clients always seem a little hesitant like I might get scared off at the thought of having more than 5-6 people in front of my lens. Let me tell you though, I. LOVE. It! The more, the merrier.
And this group was no exception. We all had so much fun early in the day. It’s kind of tricky getting everyone’s schedules together so we shot around 1pm. The sun was high but it was a little breezy and balmy. The perfect afternoon for a session.Read More
Now this session started out tricky. Coleman was in a MOOD that day! But here's what I love about watching these babies grow, I've learned a lot about his personality. I knew if we let him play, he would choose to smile on his own. So we gave him a little freedom, and he was tickled about it. He actually loves doing anything Will is doing, so this one was pretty easy.Read More
First of all, these two tiny baby clients are from Atlanta, GA (about 2.5 hours from me) and their mama drove ALL the way up here so that I could take their portraits! That was definitely a first for me!!
David and Gabriela were adorable sweethearts that were so easy to work with! I hope you enjoy my favorites from their session.Read More
