Let me start with the first time I met Sierra. She came to me as a single mother of two boys for a family session. The next session we had was a family session last year after she literally met the love of her life, Alex who came with a boy and girl of his own. Our next time shooting was at their elopement at Greenway Farms when they combined their big blended family - it was literal magic. Two people in love with four small children. This time, when Sierra reached out to me, she had a big secret. Scroll on to see what it was. And the kids reaction to the news!

After spending a little time with them (they drove from Wisconsin for this session!) it was very clear to me that she didn’t exaggerate a single word.

I was so fortunate to shoot Kirby and Tristan’s wedding session on and around the Walnut Street Bridge so it only made sense to take the whole family there for their session! The perfect day, the most coordinated outfits, a beautiful couple and four of the sweetest boys made this entire session so easy. We got all of these and more in less than 20 minutes!
Sessions never need to be stressful, you just have to find a photographer who works FOR you and your family.

They had one day available before they leave to go get married. We had a whirlwind of a day considering we started with a 90% chance of rain, which slowly diminished as the day went on. Eventually we were still able to shoot, and even caught a few in the rain.

Even though this was my first time meeting them both, it felt a lot like hanging out with old friends. We laughed and joked and tried to find patches of shade to hide from the harsh sun in! These midday sessions are turning out to be some of my favorites, the colors are so crisp and I am really loving the shadows and contrast!

Fortunately, there was another carnival coming close by to Valley Fest in Dunlap, TN. We were able to reschedule. Brantley had a blast riding rides! Addison wasn’t too happy because there was only one ride they would let her on, but towards the end we got her some cotton candy and she was in heaven!

Read MorePhew! Let me tell you, the world conspired against us on getting this session done. I know it rained once, maybe sickness was the second reason, at this point I can’t remember. But it took us several reschedules to get this session. Because we were literally just out of time (she was going to have the baby!) we wound up having to shoot mid-day, which is not ideal so far as the light goes, BUT if you come to a professional photographer they will know how to make the light work in your favor. This set is BEAUTIFUL. Megan is always gorgeous. Her husband and sweet boys are just so much fun. I especially love the last image, in the whirlwind that comes with having your third boy, I wanted to capture something creatively that shows how fast life moves.
Read MoreOk so first of all, this family is adorable. All of them. I love them and they’re sweethearts. Now let’s talk about the fact that it was raining. And it was cold. No worries, the Ramsey’s are down for whatever and we still had a blast.
