Caldwell Family Spring Sunset Portrait Session in Jasper, TN

Crystal brings her boys to see me a few times a year, and every time I try and talk her into having family portraits made. I tell her it’s her turn to step in front of the camera. Perry Family Session at Sewanee, TN in March

When we were very little Cameron and I used to go to church together at Jasper First Baptist. Now, as an adult, Cameron is married to Michael and together they have a son named Camdan. Cameron wanted their session at her alma mater, The University of the South at Sewanee, TN. This session was easy and so much fun. Early Spring is beautiful in Sewanee, if you’ve not been, you should go. The buttercups bloom and the entire campus comes alive.

Sherrie and John's Engagement Session in Sewanee, TN

Sherrie and John asked to have their engagement portraits taken in Sewanee, TN. I love shooting at the University of the South. It’s romantic and whimsical and really feels like you’re at a castle. And these two are perfectly in love.

I had never met these two before. Alexandria reached out to me after finding my work online to book me for her and Brent’s engagement pictures. I am so glad that she did. They are both so sweet and were easy as pie to work with. But most importantly, they are truly in love. They fell into natural poses and held each other close.

Destiny Limited Edition Senior Session in Jasper, TN

Destiny’s mother and I went to high school together. Destiny is fun and carefree. She wasn’t neccesarily too excited about Senior Portraits but she was willing to have them made for her mom. She wanted something different and brought smoke bombs to her session! So much fun!!

Olivia Layne Lifestyle Session in Sewanee, TN

This session with Olivia is definitely different than my usual sessions. You see Olivia was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, was treated for it, and subsequently beat it. When Tracie, Chris, Jake and Jared came to see me, Tracie asked if it was was ok to bring their puppy Mally. I always love when people bring along their dogs so of course I told her yes! This pup, was literally the most well behaved and smartest dogs I have ever been around. I was incredibly impressed by how well trained she is. ANYWAYS, back to the humans - This family is so sweet. So kind. And this session was a breeze.

Haley and Hunter's Limited Edition Session in Downtown South Pittsburg

This was my first time meeting Haley and Hunter. Two young people totally in love, that’s literally one of my most favorite things to photograph. They were a breeze and you can just tell they have so much fun together. It was a warm day in February in Downtown South Pittsburg, I love the colors on Main Street as a backdrop.

Limited Edition Sessions are short sessions that include a smaller amount of pictures. I started offering them this year to clients who may not need a full session, or only need a handful of images. Nicole has mentioned a few times about wanting to come to me for pictures, and I am so glad she finally did! This was a really easy session.

Brynna Hamilton Sunset Family Session January 2019

I had never met Brynna and Dennis before our session. So I was very excited to meet them and their children. As we started shooting my (very) expensive 70-200 lens DIED. I was confused and I have to be honest, it threw me for a minute. I panicked. I don’t know why, maybe just because I’m a panicky person. BUT I recovered pretty quickly, I threw on my 35mm and settled back into my session. Brynna and her family are SO much fun. They’re warm and welcoming. It was really easy to capture the dynamics of their family.

Julie & Michael Couples Session in Downtown Chattanooga, TN

This was my first time meeting Julie and Michael. I absolutely love meeting new clients, and this session was no different. These two were just awesome to get to know. They are funny and playful and so much fun. We took all of these in Downtown Chattanooga on the Southside.

Miranda Turner Branding and Couples Session January 2019

Miranda and Marty were my very first session of 2019. She wanted a few couples pictures and some branding and updated head shots for her business. Branding sessions are easily one of my favorites and are so simple when my clients are as beautiful as Miranda. Easy as pie. All of these were taken in Downtown, Chattanooga.

Wrapping up 2018 and Ushering in 2019

This is what my year has been like. Extra busy and SO blessed. 163 sessions, plus four weddings, one promo video for a preschool and 10 Senior Rep Modeling sessions! I also shot the entire Kimball Soccer League in both the Spring and the Fall AND I taught two separate photography classes!! I was published twice and asked to speak on a panel in front of Girl Scouts. Here's a small sampling of some of my favorite images from this year, there's at least one from each session!! Can you spot yourself?

I don't even know where to start with expressing my gratitude. Clients, please just know that I love you all so much, and thank you, from the bottom of my heart for letting me wake up every day and live my dream!

Courtney and Mackenzie Family Session Winter 2018

My very last session of 2018 was with Courtney and Mackenzie. And I am so glad it was these two. They are both so much fun, beautiful and SO easy to work with. Everyone knows I love shooting single moms and their kids. These girls were no exception to that.

Anna 2019 MCHS Senior Session

First, I’ve known Anna since she was a little girl. I have been friends with her mother for so long now, it’s crazy to me that Anna will be graduating this year!

Second, Anna is one of the easiest people on this earth to photograph. She is so laid back, and completely beautiful. It’s a total breeze!

Brizendine Children Christmas Limited Edition Session 2018

Kat initially signed up for a Watermelon Limited Edition Session WAY back in the summer. But it rained us out, and we kept trying and trying to reschedule, FINALLY we were able to get a Christmas session scheduled and man I am grateful it worked out this way.
