Alysa + Dani - Downtown Chattanooga Tennessee - August 2021

I don’t even know where to start. From the moment these two amazing people walked up to me, I felt like I had known them forever. We had so much fun exploring downtown and their love really shines through in their entire gallery. They came from New Orleans to have their pictures made and I really loved getting to know them better.

Kimberly & Ryan Anniversary Session June 2021 Downtown Chattanooga

Rather than write you a really long intro about Kimberly and Ryan, I want to share what she told me on her questionnaire when I asked her ‘What do you want to remember about this season of life?’ She did give me permission to share this and I think it’s just about the most precious answer ever. After spending a little time with them (they drove from Wisconsin for this session!) it was very clear to me that she didn’t exaggerate a single word.

Lexie's Baby Shower June 2021 Chattanooga, TN

Shooting for another photographer can always be a little nerve wracking, but Lexie is so sweet it was honestly a breeze. I am always so in my element with events. I shoot a lot of them, birthday parties, anniversaries, baby showers, they are a specialty of mine. This was no different, her family and friends were all so warm and welcoming. I’m not going to share all 169 images, but I think this gallery will give you a great idea of how the day went.

Clint, Sara, Max and Duckie came to see me all the way from Indiana! They were just the sweetest little family. We hit some of the usual spots, took Max to cool off at the Passageway next to the Aquarium and Duckie (who’s a certified rescue dog!) even got to meet one of Chattanooga’s finest!

I had the pleasure of working with the Potoski Family last weekend, and let me tell you, this was one of the easiest sessions I have ever done. The kids were so well behaved and just complete sweethearts. We had an absolutely perfect sunset with tons of golden light.

Sophia Fall Children's Session 2020

Sophia is my little cousin, but we don’t get to see each other very often. When she does come in for visits we always get to do a little session. She’s one of my most favorite tiny best friends and she always brings a sparkle for all of her sessions. It’s not just a sparkle, it’s a spark. A spark of imagination and of wonder, seeing the world through her eyes is such a wondrous experience.

This is my third time shooting Cheryl’s sweet grandkids. This year she asked if we could do a campfire session. She and Kevin joined Weston and Hanson for a fun shoot this summer. It was SO hot but from the looks on the boys’ faces, you could never tell. We had a lot of fun and laughed a lot too!

Sarah and Brandon in Downtown Chattanooga, Midday Summer 2019 Session

Sarah and Brandon traveled to Chattanooga from Kentucky to spend some time visiting her family. Even though this was my first time meeting them both, it felt a lot like hanging out with old friends. We laughed and joked and tried to find patches of shade to hide from the harsh sun in! These midday sessions are turning out to be some of my favorites, the colors are so crisp and I am really loving the shadows and contrast!

Jonathan Senior Session at the Tennessee River in Jasper, TN

Jonathan’s mother D’Anne booked this session and had a very unique set of ideas to make sure his Senior Portraits stood out from the crowd. It all came together perfectly and I’m pretty sure even Jonathan had a good time. He brought his cap & gown, his truck, his puppy and his gun.

Ellis Maternity and Family Session

Phew! Let me tell you, the world conspired against us on getting this session done. I know it rained once, maybe sickness was the second reason, at this point I can’t remember. But it took us several reschedules to get this session. Because we were literally just out of time (she was going to have the baby!) we wound up having to shoot mid-day, which is not ideal so far as the light goes, BUT if you come to a professional photographer they will know how to make the light work in your favor. This set is BEAUTIFUL. Megan is always gorgeous. Her husband and sweet boys are just so much fun. I especially love the last image, in the whirlwind that comes with having your third boy, I wanted to capture something creatively that shows how fast life moves.

Will & Coleman Fall 2018

Now this session started out tricky. Coleman was in a MOOD that day! But here's what I love about watching these babies grow, I've learned a lot about his personality. I knew if we let him play, he would choose to smile on his own. So we gave him a little freedom, and he was tickled about it. He actually loves doing anything Will is doing, so this one was pretty easy.
