Another year, another Blessed Session. I absolutely love doing these. They are confidence boosters for the girls, I get to work with my best friend Lyndi and they are absolutely just a blast. I admire what Lyndi has built and I believe in her vision. Every time she asks me to do one I immediately whip out my calendar and get it scheduled.
Read MoreShooting for another photographer can always be a little nerve wracking, but Lexie is so sweet it was honestly a breeze. I am always so in my element with events. I shoot a lot of them, birthday parties, anniversaries, baby showers, they are a specialty of mine. This was no different, her family and friends were all so warm and welcoming. I’m not going to share all 169 images, but I think this gallery will give you a great idea of how the day went.
Read MoreWe shot this session on May 29th, which in any other reality would be relatively warm, but we had a major cold front come through. It was windy and chilly. In between each shot we had to cover the kids back up. Despite the goosebumps, I think we got some really great images and it was a really fun session. I’ve known Sylvia for SO long, and seeing her with her children was so special.

Walnut Street Bridge is always the most requested but with a late prom this year, I already knew it would be JAM packed. So we opted for a rooftop in the West Village and I have to say, this is one of my most favorite prom years, to date!

We hit some of the usual spots, took Max to cool off at the Passageway next to the Aquarium and Duckie (who’s a certified rescue dog!) even got to meet one of Chattanooga’s finest!

She’s one of my most favorite tiny best friends and she always brings a sparkle for all of her sessions. It’s not just a sparkle, it’s a spark. A spark of imagination and of wonder, seeing the world through her eyes is such a wondrous experience.

Their love for each other was apparent as soon as I met them. They held hands, they held each other, they looked at one another with such love! Nicole has mentioned a few times about wanting to come to me for pictures, and I am so glad she finally did! This was a really easy session.
Read MoreLyndi has been with me for years now. I have been there for pregnancy announcements, her wedding, birthdays and milestones. Watching her grow as well as her children, those connections are one of my most favorite parts of my job. So when she asked me if I could come to their home, to capture them in their environment, I jumped at it. She needed new branding images for her website and blog, Blessed & Obsessed and new portraits of the family and kids. Portraits don’t need to be posed and perfection. Sometimes you just need to capture the every day.
Read MoreMax turned one right at the beginning of January! I have known Mandy, Max’s mom, since I was a little girl and I’ve been photographing their family for so long I felt right at home. It was SO HARD to narrow down a preview from all of the images. These are a few of my favorites though.

Rachel asked if we could do a session in her home this time, very lifestyle, and include her sister in law and nephew and nieces. I am pretty sure my response was “OF COURSE WE CAN”. So we lit a fire, took pictures of the kids in jammies and then took a few of Jesi’s kids outside. I fell equally in love with them!! We celebrated Jesi expecting her fifth child. A big congratulations to the Hoschar family!

I knew if we let him play, he would choose to smile on his own. So we gave him a little freedom, and he was tickled about it. I no longer shoot posed newborn sessions, but I am IN LOVE with shooting babies in their own homes, in the arms of their parents. Heather and Michael invited me in to capture what it was like during Maddox’s first few weeks at home. He was a complete dream, he slept the entire time and barely made a peep. The Wehunt home is stunning with such a clean, farmhouse vibe. And holy cow, how cute and sweet is Jeter?!
