Front yard drop-ins for Jasper based mamas.
On May 8th I’ll be popping around to the homes of Jasper families, and making a photograph of mamas and their little ones on the front step or garden, then gifting them the image.
HELLO MAMA!
With Mother’s Day upon us, it seems the perfect time for me to express my gratitude to the women so beautifully loving and raising the next generation of tender hearted humans.
As a way to say thank you, I’m doing the thing I do best: I’m making portraits!
On May 8th I’ll be popping around to the homes of Jasper families, and making a photograph of mamas and their small ones on the front step or lawn, then gifting you the image, so that you might have something precious - an all too uncommon representation of you with your littles - to make you smile, come Mother’s Day.
My only ask of the participants is this: that you come as you are.
Let your children dress as they choose. Let them wear that favorite skirt or shirt or top or costume. Dress your baby as you tend to dress your baby, let your toddler appear in just his shorts if that’s what life typically looks like right now. Allow them to be exactly who they are, so that many years from today, you’ll have a precious record of the beautiful ordinary life you all lived together, in front of the humble home that held you all so well.
I want you to lean in to who you are, because you're more than enough.
In fact, you are everything.
A few more details -
Visits will be just 10 minutes, and will take place in the front yard or steps.
I’ll be making my way to several families around Jasper, so I’ll need to keep to a pretty tight schedule. If you join in, I’ll need you ready to rock and roll for the time you're allocated.
This little love fest is for mamas - and parents who identify as mamas - only this time.
If your own mom lives close by, and you’d like to include her, she’s more than welcome to join - just make sure she’s there and ready before your 15 minute window.
Your children and babies of all ages can participate - from freshies to teens.
After my visit, you'll be sent a link to an online gallery to download your image or order prints.
Due to the nature of this little project, you’ll need to be willing to have your image shared publicly to participate.
Thank you all! Submissions are now closed! I’ll be contacting people soon to assign times.
