Sophia is my little baby cousin. Right now she’s living in Washington DC but she came in for a visit and a fun little Summer Session with me. Sophia is literally a ray of sunshine. Her energy is contagious. She was SO EXCITED about everything that she saw, it really made me stop and look at this city with new eyes. We started at the Walnut Street Bridge and made a loop. We walked from the bridge to the Tennessee Riverwalk, to the waterways around the aquarium, we pet a horse that pulls the carriages on Broad Street, and we made our way back to The Ice Cream Show.Read More
Xavier and Melanie traveled from Florida to Chattanooga for an Anniversary getaway. They hired me to capture them on their ten year milestone. Their love for each other was apparent as soon as I met them. They held hands, they held each other, they looked at one another with such love! We shot these in Downtown Chattanooga at the Walnut Street Bridge at midday.Read More
Stacy contacted me after finding my website. She wanted pictures of her three children and herself. Stacy met me with Bailey, Ayden and Mazie in June. We spent part of the session in a big open field, but then we quickly realized we were losing the kids attention, so we took them over to the playground. Seriously, it couldn’t have been a better idea. They played and laughed and we got the best smiles!Read More
I am so, so proud that Twila came to me for her engagement pictures. She and Dru needed engagement photos and they needed them quickly. They had one day available before they leave to go get married. We had a whirlwind of a day considering we started with a 90% chance of rain, which slowly diminished as the day went on. Eventually we were still able to shoot, and even caught a few in the rain.Read More
Dana and I had such a hard time nailing down the perfect date for these. You see, all three of her boys play baseball, so their schedules are extra tight! We finally had an opportunity to take them. The weather was great, the sunshine was golden, and it was an easy session.Read More
Sarah and Brandon traveled to Chattanooga from Kentucky to spend some time visiting her family. Even though this was my first time meeting them both, it felt a lot like hanging out with old friends. We laughed and joked and tried to find patches of shade to hide from the harsh sun in! These midday sessions are turning out to be some of my favorites, the colors are so crisp and I am really loving the shadows and contrast!Read More
Every year I donate to the silent auction held locally at Sequatchie Valley Electric Co-operative. This year Shanda won the session. I always love meeting new people and Shanda, Tyler and Will were so much fun. We shot on their friend’s farm and it was absolutely beautiful. They even had a tiny baby goat at the end for Will to love on!!
ps: my day was 100% made when they brought out that kid, if you know me, I LOVE goats!!Read More
Gerry reached out to me wanting to schedule a session for him and his daughter Ansley. They were traveling to Chattanooga from Nashville for the weekend and wanted some fun, candid shots to document their vacation. When they first arrived, Ansley was being shy and hiding behind her daddy’s back. She came out of her shell pretty quickly when I started talking about adventure. We started at the Walnut Street Bridge and walked down to the Passageway, we got our feet wet and then made our way back to the Ice Cream Show for a snack to cool down with.Read More
Bridget, Lotchia and Karsten came to see me on a beautiful, warm Spring day. We spent some time at the park, we played and we laughed. Karsten had a blast chasing the ducks and throwing grass into the pond. Such a wonderfully sweet family.Read More

This session with Olivia is definitely different than my usual sessions. You see Olivia was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, was treated for it, and subsequently beat it. Her positive outlook and strength were an inspiration to so many. We did this session as a way of expressing her freedom. Below I am going to attach a her story that she wrote:Read More
Lyndi has been with me for years now. I have been there for pregnancy announcements, her wedding, birthdays and milestones. Watching her grow as well as her children, those connections are one of my most favorite parts of my job. So when she asked me if I could come to their home, to capture them in their environment, I jumped at it. She needed new branding images for her website and blog, Blessed & Obsessed and new portraits of the family and kids. Portraits don’t need to be posed and perfection. Sometimes you just need to capture the every day.Read More
Max turned one right at the beginning of January! I have known Mandy, Max’s mom, since I was a little girl and I’ve been photographing their family for so long I felt right at home. It was SO HARD to narrow down a preview from all of the images. These are a few of my favorites though.
If you are having a birthday party and want to really be present (and not stuck behind a cell phone or camera) the whole time, then I highly recommend hiring a photographer for your child’s day.Read More
Miranda and Marty were my very first session of 2019. She wanted a few couples pictures and some branding and updated head shots for her business. Branding sessions are easily one of my favorites and are so simple when my clients are as beautiful as Miranda. Easy as pie. All of these were taken in Downtown, Chattanooga.Read More
This is what my year has been like. Extra busy and SO blessed. 163 sessions, plus four weddings, one promo video for a preschool and 10 Senior Rep Modeling sessions! I also shot the entire Kimball Soccer League in both the Spring and the Fall AND I taught two separate photography classes!! I was published twice and asked to speak on a panel in front of Girl Scouts. Here's a small sampling of some of my favorite images from this year, there's at least one from each session!! Can you spot yourself?
I don't even know where to start with expressing my gratitude. Clients, please just know that I love you all so much, and thank you, from the bottom of my heart for letting me wake up every day and live my dream!
My very last session of 2018 was with Courtney and Mackenzie. And I am so glad it was these two. They are both so much fun, beautiful and SO easy to work with. Everyone knows I love shooting single moms and their kids. These girls were no exception to that.Read More
Kat initially signed up for a Watermelon Limited Edition Session WAY back in the summer. But it rained us out, and we kept trying and trying to reschedule, FINALLY we were able to get a Christmas session scheduled and man I am grateful it worked out this way. The pretty lights on the square and these sweet kids made for the perfect session!Read More
I have photographed Anna and Luke at least 934378434 times. And it’s no secret that I LOVE THEM. The Shankles family is so much fun. Rachel asked if we could do a session in her home this time, very lifestyle, and include her sister in law and nephew and nieces. I am pretty sure my response was “OF COURSE WE CAN”. So we lit a fire, took pictures of the kids in jammies and then took a few of Jesi’s kids outside. I fell equally in love with them!! We celebrated Jesi expecting her fifth child. A big congratulations to the Hoschar family!Read More
Zane’s mother Alisa contacted me wanting to set up a very unique session for her son Zane. They wanted half of them to be done at a local gym called Max Fit, and the other half outside on location on our town square in Jasper, TN. Of course I love new and different so I almost shouted, “YES” at her. Zane is such a sweet boy, and I had a blast trying out some new angles, literally climbing to the top of some equipment and then shooting for a bit on the square.Read More
Jessica contacted me after finding my website. She needed updated family portraits of her, her husband Evan and their two daughters Lola and Lucy. I had just recently been given permission to shoot at the Chattanooga Choo Choo. With it being so close to Christmas, I knew this would be the perfect location for our shoot. It was absolutely stunning. I am leaning heavily towards less posed portraits and really loving the feel of these intimate, documentary style images. Jessica’s family is so sweet, and I just loved working with them.Read More
